Over mij

Couple months ago, I stepped on my sons lego, and yelled “Pete come pick up all that devil glitter you left in the floor!!!” Then it made me think, if legos are the devil’s glitter, what is God’s glitter?? Oh yeah, me. OUCH! That hurt worse than the LEGO. Glitter is funny, no matter how little there was or how much we scrub or vacuum, we will find some left on hands, feet, forehead, tables, counters, phones, and floors for years. Some people try to clean it up before it gets everywhere. It is amazing how invasive such small shiny bits can be. That’s how i believe Jesus wants us to be, humble, gentle yet invasive. In Ephesians 4:2 we are told “ Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love”. You don’t have to always talk about Jesus to show someone Jesus. If someone opens up about a struggle I might not understand or agree with, it would be easy to be crass and spit out “well maybe you just need Jesus” and move on. But the whole time Jesus is telling me “shhh, just sprinkle your glitter, show love”. They may grumble at first but one day when they are trying to clean up a dark corner of life, they will find that glitter and remember the love that was attached to it. #SprinkleYourGODGlitter
