The United States has two mottoes, which are printed or stamped on money and displayed in public buildings. E Pluribus Unum, Latin for "Out of many, one," is the United States' original motto, chosen by the Founding Fathers, to express and advocate unity. "In God We Trust," chosen 180 years later, during the Cold War, is divisive because not all Americans believe in God and some believe in multiple gods. This bumper sticker advocates going back to the original motto only, a motto that ALL Americans can embrace, not just some.
