Tote Bag Azurest 75e anniversaire Fourre-tout

2022 marks the Azurest Property Owners Association’s (APOA) celebration of our founding 75 years ago. During a period of limited access to resort locations, African Americans from the greater New York area chose to develop their own safe haven to provide a peaceful and secure summer neighborhood for the enjoyment of familiy and friends. The collaboration of sisters, Amaza Lee Meredith and Maude K. Terry along with the Gale familiale, lead to the creation of a unique legacy spawning two additional neighboring developments that share multigenerational unity. Their vision resulted in a federal and state recognized historic area known as SANS (Sag Harbor Hills, Azurest and Ninevah) the three continguous bay communities that share a similar history and ideals.
