Tapis De Souris Thompson Falls Dam

The Thompson Falls Dam in Montana is a significant hydroelectric facility located on the Clark Fork River. Completed in 1915, it serves as a crucial source of renewable energy for the region while also creating Thompson Falls Reservoir, a popular spot for fishing and boating enthusiasts. Surrounded by scenic landscapes and offering glimpses of local wildlife, the dam and its reservoir provide visitors with both recreational opportunities and a glimpse into Montana's industrial and natural heritage. This shot was taken while I was out on my motorcycle. I had to walk across a footbridge and down a trail to set up for this shot.
