I make art. When I learned I could put my artwork on various objects, I jumped at the chance. Part of it is, admittedly, ego. I *like* seeing my artwork, and I love seeing others enjoy it as well. This is a way to share eye-catching graphics with the world. I make my artwork in Adobe Illustrator, and it's all vector-based. That means that it's infinitely scaleable. It looks the same on a cup as it would on a billboard with no pixelation artifacts. (Technical note: the art starts out as vector, but is exported out as a jpeg, with the resolution dependent on what it's used for. The images here, on the products in this store, are typically exported out at 9000px x 6000px to insure that you cannot see any pixellation on the item it's printed on.) There is another advantage to vector-based art. All of the artwork is object-based. This means that I can move the different elements around pretty easily, to account for layout issues, or object shape issues. Or, if someone saw something that they liked, but would like a slight variation of it, I can accommodate them, with a little time and effort. These kinds of edits are a lot more difficult when using pixels. So I hope that you enjoy looking around!
