Over mij

I am a Berks County, Pennsylvania-based writer and nature photographer. I launched Pawsitively Creative as a way to offset the costs of surgery, care and recovery for Radar The Rescue Dog, whom we adopted in 2020. Radar was surrendered as a puppy to The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. His front left paw was shattered, his left ear was torn; he had lacerations to several areas on his body, and he had a traumatic hip injury. After he recovered from surgery and treatment at BARCS, he was fostered through a Reading, Pennsylvania, animal rescue group. Since adoption, Radar has required additional surgery to address ongoing issues. These include Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomys (TPLO) on both legs (at the same time!); and an upcoming femoral head ostectomy to ease the pain from hip trauma related to his previous injuries. Despite all the pain and surgery he's endured, Radar is a loving, protective, and loyal dog who never seems to lose hope. He is looking forward to making a complete recovery so that he can hike, run, and play with his humans again! His favorite games are fetch, hide-and-seek, and keep-away — all using his beloved green ball. Proceeds from this store also go toward the care and feeding of other animals on my homestead.
