Russell James Bevis

I'm a self taught painter, based in Lincoln. Painting pets, people and scenes, with a particular fondness for cats. I first started to paint in 2016, although I have been drawing since early childhood, winning many competitions with my cartoons. Nowadays I paint commissions (pets) and sell prints of my work. My inspirations are of late C19th artists, such as Henrette Ronner Knip and notable alla prima painters John Singer Sargent and William Merritt Chase.
