Palo Alto Friends Nursery School

Friends Nursery School is a non-profit, non-sectarian, cooperative nursery school sponsored by Friends Meeting. Since 1955, we've offered part time, play-based pre-school programs for children ages 3 to 5 and their families. In our 50 years of nurturing young people, we've found that children blossom when they're empowered to choose their own activities, indulge their imaginations, move freely about . . .within a playspace that is varied, stimulating, age appropriate, multi-faceted, rich in learning opportunities, and fun with a diversity of playmates guided by calm, gentle, committed, and very experienced teachers within the comfort of a predictable daily routine within the security of and orderly, safe, nurturing environment tempered by rules that are simple, clear, and reinforced calmly over and over again.
