Noah's Mark was based on my son Noah, who was born with several birthmarks and diagnosed with a “Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevus”. This rare condition affects 1 out of 500,000 babies and is a skin disease that carries a significant risk of skin cancer. Though the decision has not been easy, Noah has undergone several procedures to remove the largest on his arm. I felt it was important to reassure families who deal with similar issues and difficult decisions, that they are not alone. This is a part of God’s plan for your journey and whatever your decision, physically altered or not, you are the same person at heart. Whether you are born with a circumstance such as this or not, we are all beautifully and wonderfully created by God. Each of us has a special purpose on this earth. Unflawed and perfect in design; exactly the very person God created and He will be with us every step of the way.
