Minerva and her friends are minimally drawn cartoon characters that I came up with in a down time in my life. I suffer from bipolar depression. Sometimes a silly inspirational sayings or soft, cute stuff animal when I'm sad, can help me feel a little better. Even at my age, I'm a mom of two little boys, I have my bad days and sometimes something as simple as a funny quote can make all the difference. Minerva says: You be you and be awesome. That means don't compromise yourself and self worth because someone doesn't like. Your opinion of yourself is the only one that matters, so be awesome at being who you are or who you want to be. I still love Hello Kitty even though I'm an adult, it may be childish but who says you can't be childish sometimes!
