Metamorphosis Gallery is the end result of many years of studying art and being a professional artist. My background is in drawing and painting, as well as art history and art education. I 'fell into' photography during a required class to finish my MAT. I am in no means a 'typical' photographer. I am a painter with a camera, and focus on color and energy above all else. I start with nature photography (mainly flowers because I am also an avid gardener with a deep respect for nature). I then twist, tweak and morph them into my unique 'nature photo abstractions'. I strive to create a very flowing, organic and vibrant feel to my works, while keeping the integrity of the original photograph in mind. I follow my muse while creating my abstracts and sometimes you can make out the original subject, but sometimes not. It is my goal to have my designs on useful, everyday items to beautify your life, as you live it. To brighten your day. Why should throw pillows, cell phone cases and lamps be boring? I am happy to be able to offer my designs for a wide variety of income levels and interests; whether you have any 'wall space' or not! Art should be for one and all! I hope you enjoy my works.
