À propos

I started thinking seriously about global warming in the late 90`s when the hurricanes started up in Florida. I became especially concerned when Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans. Sometimes we can see a thing with our eyes, and yet not see it with our powers of understanding. A major shift was occurring. A hurricane struck Galveston, Texas in 1900 and killed about 8,000 people, it went all the way up into Canada, so global warming has been around for a long time. There were many great tornado outbreaks during the late 1800s and early 1900s. They don`t say much about this? Greedy business practices are at the heart of environmental problems. I like to say that the I-bone is connected to the Greed-bone, and greed is destroying our society and also our planet. Greedy people are all about I, ME, MY and MINE and there is rarely a thought about the Greater Good. We have to try and be part of the solution, rather than part of the problem. Greed, selfish pride and racism are at the root of many of the world`s problems. The earth is changing right in front of our eyes. Our existence on this planet is threatened and that's about as heavy as it gets people. We continue to destroy the things we need in order to create for ourselves the things we want. We can`t see the forest for the trees. The trees are our local and regional self-interests, the forest is the care and welfare of the planet as a whole. I hope you enjoy what I have tried to do here.
