Joanne Hopper Studio

Firstly, Welcome to Joanne Hopper Studio at Zazzle – thank you for stopping by! Using materials from literally all over the world, I paint Maui, my home island, in watercolor, gouache and oil paints. I also create with metalpoint – silver, gold and platinum - drawings of the exquisite flora here. The scenic industry in New York was my career for 25+ years, painting for companies like Universal Studios, Disney, Imaginarium and Opera houses all over the US. In Hawaii, I paint from life as much as I can. Where that’s not possible I work in my Kula studio from sketches, memory and photo references. My most recent addition to my process is creating patterns from elements in my paintings that go on cards and other products that you’ll find here on Zazzle and my website in the coming months.
