What started as a journey to decorate my own home quickly became a passion and a growing “side gig.” Green Owl Refabbed is located in Belleville, Illinois, providing locals with custom painted furniture designed by Stacey, as well as offering services to tailor customers’ own furniture they may want to have refurbished or restyled. Stacey personally consults with each client, reviewing design ideas for each piece and evaluating any repairs that may need to occur before customizing the furniture. Stacey experiments with a plethora of paint schemes and is confident in the use of bold and daring colors and finishing techniques to make even the wildest of accent pieces. Stacey prioritizes quality and durability of each custom piece and carefully prepares all surfaces of furniture prior to painting or restaining. Additionally, Stacey utilizes furniture painting techniques involving the use of “chalk mineral” based paint that has superior adhesion qualities, as well as a premium wax or polycrylic paint sealant guaranteeing a long lasting and durable paint finish.
