Baton Rouge Astronomical Society

Founded in 1981 “for the purpose of furthering personal education among its members…and promoting public interest in astronomy,” the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society has educated countless numbers of citizens in the joys of planetary and deep-sky gazing, the drawbacks of light pollution and factors to consider when buying a pair of binoculars or a telescope.
