My daughter and I are starting this card company together to support people that are walking the path we walked together for over a decade. Sometimes we want to show our love, but saying "I love you" over and over and over doesn't feel enough. I am the Mom of a beautiful young woman with substance use disorder and all of the behavioral health issues that can come before, during, and after. We are so fortunate that we haven't revisited the deepest levels of that hell in over four years, but it stays with us, and we know so many among us are still in there. We all know someone - be it ourselves, our loved ones, our co-workers, our neighbors, or the folks we see in the community each day. The sentiments in our cards may be helpful in any circumstance, but this is how we started. "Boom Boom" is how I ended my Mom song to her every night when she was a wee one, and now it is shorthand for "I love you". We hope that our Boom Boom Cards can help you share how you feel with someone you care about, and that it will fill them with hope and - yes - love. K and J
