About an hour outside of Marrakech, Lalla Takerkoust, Morocco offers a beautiful lake fed by the melting snow of the Atlas Mountains. The lake was built by the French as part of a dam and irrigation project to provide electricity and water for Marrakech. Visiting the area now can be to a Kasbah, for fishing or hiking.
