Carnet Pop Art Dahlia 'Gallery Art Fair'
Is it a flower? Is it a potato? It is both, and it is neither. It is a notebook.
Let us consider the Dahlia. The Aztecs, who were very sensible people, called it Acocoxochitl. They ate its tubers. They knew that beauty and starch are essentially the same thing. But you cannot write your memoirs on a potato; the ink smudges, and the potato does not care. That is why we have transferred the soul of the Dahlia ‘Gallery Art Fair’ onto this paper vessel.
This specific dahlia is white with a creamy yellow heart, like a sun that has decided to bleach itself out of boredom. We have rendered it here in the Pop Art style—observe the dots! The Halftone! It is the industrialization of nature. It creates a space where the organic chaos of a flower meets the rigid grid of modern printing. It is the perfect place to record your daily nonsenses, your grocery lists (buy potatoes), or your arguments with the silence of the universe.
Why you must possess this object:
The History: Named after the Swedish botanist Anders Dahl, who probably never imagined his name would end up on a print-on-demand product in the 21st century. The absurdity of legacy!
The Aesthetic: High-contrast Pop Art on a black background. It says, "I am sophisticated, yet I understand that life is a comic strip."
The Customization: There is a space for "YOUR NAME OR TEXT." Fill it. If you do not name the notebook, how will it know who you are?
The Function: It opens. It closes. It holds ink. It does what a rhinoceros cannot do: it listens.
Ideal for botanists, surrealists, people who like yellow, and anyone trying to impose order on a chaotic Tuesday.
