Carnet Illuminated Apothecary Medieval Rose
This is Rosa gallica. The apothecary's rose. Monks in the 13th century ground these petals with honey and wine. They prescribed it to cure melancholy, bad humours, and the bubonic plague. It failed spectacularly at curing the plague. But it handles melancholy rather well.
That is the precise function of this notebook.
The deep, bruised burgundy cover mimics the margins of a French illuminated manuscript. The gold foliage framing the bloom is a desperate human attempt to make nature look organized. In a real scriptorium, they would have used beaten gold leaf and bound the pages in stretched calfskin. You are getting wire binding and modern paper. This is a profound upgrade. Vellum smells terrible when the humidity rises.
Buy the notebook. Use it as a habit tracker. A habit is just a polite word for a compulsion, but writing it down makes it feel like productivity. Put it on your desk. Let the printed gold catch the light from your monitor while you try to remember your bank passwords.
