Carnet Electric Abutilon 'Violetta': The Impostor's
Truth is overrated. Style is eternal.
Consider the Abutilon. It is commonly called the "Flowering Maple." But look closer. Is it a maple? Does it offer you syrup for your pancakes? It does not. It is a Mallow. It is a botanical liar. It wears the leaves of a maple to gain social status, but at heart, it is related to the humble cotton plant and the marshmallow.
The Anthropology of the Neon Disguise The name Abutilon comes from the Arabic abū-ṭīlūn, a term used by the great philosopher and physician Avicenna over a thousand years ago. He likely did not envision his plant being subjected to the neon irreverence of Pop Art. We have taken this historical deception and amplified it. The Abutilon x suntense ‘Violetta’—normally a polite, deep blue shrub found in the gardens of the landed gentry—has been transformed into a graphic icon. It is no longer a plant; it is a statement. It admits that it is artificial. It stops pretending to be nature and starts being Art.
Why You Need This Notebook of Lies:
Celebrate the Facade: Perfect for the writer who writes fiction, the planner who plans events that will never happen, or the poet who lies for a living.
The Color of Royalty (and Bruises): The 'Violetta' bloom is rendered here in electric, unapologetic purple. It demands attention. It screams across the room.
A Container for Chaos: The spiral binding is the only thing keeping the pages from flying away like startled birds. Use it to trap your ideas before they realize they are free.
Buy the notebook. The fake maple commands it.
