Bloc-note Vivid red cyclamen on a dark background

This Image quoi taken from my original watercolor painting of red Cyclamen bloom on a deep black background. In this painting I felt the need to use a watercolor glazing technique in order to capture the depth and intensity of color of the vivivid red blossoms . The subject was painted in transparent watercolor, allowed to dry completely and that process repeated nearly 50 times . Although very time consuming it is the only way to capture the richness and intensity of the subject matter.
