I am a Canadian photographer/composer who has spent most of his working life in Paris, France and is now based in Florianópolis, Brazil. The creation of the mono-expressioned G.D. TRUC character started as a hobby in the early 80's and was primarily a source of relaxation. Some T-shirts were made in the 80's but my exhibition schedule, collaborations with contemporary choreographers and responsibilities as Director of the Center for Media Art and Photography at the American center for Artist in Paris prevented me from devoting adequate time to the G.D. TRUC concept. After moving to Brazil in 2010, I decided to further develop the character who has always been intriguing to me.
